Exciting Days

Yesterday we got back from a trip to Lejamani. Let me (Mercy) take a couple minutes to tell you about it.

We went to visit the Horton's. We left on Friday at 1:30. We walked to the bus stop (since we do not have a car). Dad deiced that we should brake into groups because Mom, Amy, and Emmy have Spanish class until four. So in the first group there was Matthew, Jillian, Ezra, Nikki, Malachi, and I and the rest came after the ladies finished school. So we got on the bus and five of us had to share four seats. Soon we got off the bus on the edge of Comayagua to catch a bus to Lejamani. This second bus was just leaving Comayagua so even standing space was about full. But we found space for us and our luggage. As people continued to get off in small towns we slowly all got seats. By the time we got to the Horton's there was very few people left on the bus. Each of the bus rides were 45-50min long.

We went into out room and unpacked.

Then the Horton's two little girls, Julia(6) and Emily(5), wanted us to play. So we played on the trampoline first, then in the Hammock, and then we played Hide-and-Go Seek until the rest of the family got there that evening.

Then we had a dinner of fried tortillas with cheese and fried bananas.

In the morning we went to the Market in Comayagua to pass out tracts. We would go in and out of all the little shops and through all the stalls passing out tracts. It was so much fun.

When we got home us girls (Jillian, Emmaline, Amy, Nikki, and I) babysat while the parents all went shopping at the market in La Paz.

There was another family(the Smiths) that had four kids were also staying at the Horton's house.

So we had 11 kids 11 to 5 months to watch.:):) So much fun!!!!!!!!!

That night we had a campfire and marshmallows!!

 Then it was Sunday.

Soon we said good-bye and started home.

Then we had some rice and sandwiches for dinner and when to Bed!!!!!!!!!

The Tasman Sea

~The boys and Dad have been doing a lot of biking lately. So here are some pictures that the guys took when they were out on a ride a few days ago. They took a ride to the Tasman Sea, which is about 40 kilometers from our house!

Baptism

~This past Sunday we went to the city for Auckland Bible Baptist Church's service and Emmaline, Ezra, and Nicolea were Baptized. After the serves there was a light tea and everyone stayed around and talked for a while. We all enjoyed the whole day, the fellowship was great. We all had a wonderful time up there. Here are some pictures of our past Sunday that I thought I would share with you all.

Bible Club Update

Our Bible Club is going wonderfully! We all enjoy it immensely! We continue to have new children stop in and others that come regularly! Most of the kids seem to enjoy it and listen quite a bit. They always enjoy song time in which they all sing very well and enjoy taking turns holding up the songs that Mom has written out. During lesson time most of them sit quite well and watch the felts and listen to the Dad and Mom as they teach. A few times they have had the privalage of Elianna doing a chalk drawing for them too.

They are all working on verse memorization. We have goal cards with about five verses on each that they are working on. When they finished the first one they also receive with there Certificate of Completion a BIBLE, which has been the big motivator for them! The first gaol card (Romans 3:23; 6:23; 10:10, John 1;12; 20:31) has been competed by six of the children all sence the beginning of the year. We haveWe all enjoying working with them as they memorize their verses. They are all so different; some have a harder time memorizing and others can do several verses a day. We have one girl who was telling me one day that the reason that her goal card was so rinkled was because she falls asleep working on her verses so the paper got a bit worn out. But what better why for her to fall asleep reading the Word of God!

Please Pray...

...for the Lord's will to be done with our paperwork and that He will guide all those who will handle it and make the decision whether they will issue our permits or not. We have now been in New Zealand for over eleven months, leaving twenty-seven days left on our visas. So it is now time to get our permits to be able to stay for the next two years. Today the paperwork was completed and turned in. We are praying to be able to stay for the next twenty-two months on permits, but more than anything we want God's will in our lives. Please pray that all goes well and that our permits will be issued in the Lord's timing.

We each had to have our own permit. It was over a ream of paper.

Happy 10th Birthday Nicolea Mae Snyder!!!

~Well, a little late as her birthday was the nineteenth. Last Saturday Dad had to rent a van to pick up some things in the city and then in the afternoon he took us all to the beach for Nicolea's birthday. We started the afternoon with ice cream cones on our way to the ocean. We stopped at a national park and saw some beautiful views and the kids enjoyed all the space to run around. The beach was really crowded were we had planed to stop so we continued on up the road. We stopped by another park and walked out to ocean. The ocean was so beautiful to see. Where we were at on the beach we could see Waiheke Island and Ponui Island. At play ground near by we had dinner and Nicolea opened her gifts. After we started home Dad stopped by the beach that we had planned to stop at, because it was almost vacant, and let us play for a few minutes in the water. Then, together, we had a great ride home! It was so much fun to spend a day together! Driving together brought back the wonderful memories of deputation! Only we had four rows of three seats rather then two rows of three seats like we had in the truck!!!

~We did not take Nicolea's birthday cake to the beach so on Tuesday the nineteenth we had her cake and birthday dinner. Homemade PIZZA for dinner and she had brownies with triple chocolate ice cream on them and homemade chocolate sauce on top!
