Visitors from the States

For three weeks at the end of September and the beginning of October we had the blessing of having the Clementsons visit us. They are a young couple from the States who are traveling all over the world helping missionaries. They helped out with Bible Club, letter boxing, street preaching, door knocking, and much more. It was a blessing to have them here; we all greatly enjoyed them!

Waterfall

Here is one last post of our time up in the city. On the last night at the G's we did a 30 min. hike to see this waterfall after tea. It was a really nice walk through what was definitely New Zealand native woods. When we got down to the water we had fun in the water for quite a while. It was a really fun peaceful evening!!!

~The G's house in the middle of no were on a huge hill. The whole back of the house is windows and then there is a huge deck out back and these next two pictures are the sunrise we enjoyed in the mornings! If you look close in the first one you can see the Auckland Harbor bridge to the left of the sun and in the second one you can see the Sky Tower!

Fun with Friends!

~During the week up in Auckland that we ran the HBC we also also had great afternoons and evening with friends. We went letter boxing one afternoon, spent a bunch of time at three different malls, and one afternoon Pastor W took us girls to Daven Port and a look out near by. Another afternoon we played Laser Tag and went to Crystal Mountain and on the final afternoon we spent downtown Auckland shopping and sightseeing. What a blessing to have Christian friends in country that we can see every so often!

Holiday Bible Club

This last week Jillian and I had the blessing of helping Pastor Williams from Marlborough Bible Baptist Church in Blenheim and his teens run a HBC in Blockhouse Bay, where the Gustafsson's church is. We all stayed out at Pastor Gustafsson's house and we ran the Holiday Club from nine to noon Monday through Friday! There were four stations; a game station, craft station, memory verse station, and a fire safety station. The whole week was about fire safety and they did a great job of having all the games and crafts and such around the theme. Then they had Fireman Josh who is one of the teens from Marlborough Bible Baptist Church teaching fire safety and the kids really enjoyed that! So here's a heap of pictures from our week!

We told them that we had a surprise for them on Friday and they all could not wait to find out what it was. But we made them wait and they loved their surprise. We got some firemen to bring out a truck from a nearby town!

And this was some of us girls on Sunday evening at church! The teens from Blenheim knew we would be up at least one day but they did not know we were staying with them or that we would be up on Sunday! So they were SO excited and surprised to see us when we walked into church not long after they got there!
